Aragon, Mother and 4-Year-Old Son Attacked by Family Dog
In Aragona, in the province of Agrigento, a 4-year-old boy and his mother were injured and hospitalized after being attacked by their family dog. The incident took place in a countryside home where the large-sized dog, which was tethered, reportedly bit the child on the head. The mother, trying to protect her son, was bitten on the thigh. Both victims received medical treatment at the hospital; the child underwent sutures on his scalp wound and was put on a course of antibiotics.
